potpourri:
i am listening to dragonforce and i cannot believe i am passing up their show weekend after next. apparently they put on an amazing performance - and who couldn't love a bunch of keytar playing long-haired power metal-ers wailing for two hours nonstop?
(uh, well, i can actually think of several people. but that was a rhetorical question. go with it.)
currently i am reading "i am legend". it is absolutely nothing like the movie. there are also several short stories in the back which have absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the novel, so far as i know. the book just appeared in our bathroom reading basket recently, and i've adopted it (for more than bathroom reading, as i'm actually curious to read through it faster than visits to the lavatory will allow). while it struggles at best to resemble the movie (first inclination: in the first page, it talks about how the main character is white, blonde haired, and blue eyed. uh, will smith!?) it's actually a quality read, and for someone who doesn't usually give a crap about vampire (yes, not zombie, vampire) novels (hence my not seeing "twilight" at this moment), it's not so bad.
if i hear one more person tell me about how, now that obama has been elected, the dirty socialists will funnel down from canada and ruin america's shining beacon of democracy and picture perfect economy, i will throw a fit. i have been good this entire election season and i deserve to vent, because i am not dirty and i believe most socialists do make an effort to shower and ugh i don't even want to get into it.
speaking of which, next week i am applying for a new birth certificate (because apparently my hospital-issued one no longer is legal, so apparently i don't exist?) and then i am (finally) applying for my passport. yes, it's true, i am passportless. yes, i know, everyone has one these days. i'm just behind the curve.
also, internet fun: check out typealyzer and see what your blog's myers-briggs personality type is. it nailed my blogspot pretty right on - apparently i am an ESFP.
everyone, if you wouldn't mind, please suggest some new music for me. while i tend to lean toward electronic, soul/r&b, hip hop, dance and rock, i am open to everything.
