it was a pleasant surprise today to discover i've dropped a size! (sort of.)



see, i'm going to this wedding on saturday night. not anyone i really know well, just friends of the significant other. however, there's going to be a lot of people i don't know, so i figured i'd take the time to look nice in case i'm meeting new people. generally, one doesn't want to look and / or act like an arse at a special occasion like this.

(although, upon further thought, i figure this might be the time to do so, because the amount of people i don't know thoroughly outweighs the small gaggle of people that'll be in attendance i am acquainted with. but i don't have the cojones for that sort of thing, and furthermore, i have to still see that small gaggle after the fact.)

regardless, a dear friend of mine allowed me to rifle through her closet tonight. and on the second try, i found a wonderous dress that fit me like a glove. and i didn't think it'd even budge on! who'd have thunk it. small victories!
