unless there's a miracle, it's looking like the yankees are going to win the world series. being an unabashed red sox fan, this, of course, makes me upset, but i will admit that they are playing very well this year.

(i mean it.) (doesn't mean i LIKE to admit it. but i'm not above it.)

still upset about the vote in maine but it's time to start thinking about moving ahead and what's next in the fight for equality. i think what still irks me so much is the fact that i don't believe a popular vote is the way to determine what falls under civil rights. these things are meant to go through the courts and to be legislated. when you throw these questions out to the public there's no impartiality in it - there's always an agenda. as i said to some people earlier, it doesn't feel right to me that i can marry the one i love and my friends twenty miles away can't have the same rights. it's nonsensical to me.
