cannot wait for breakfast. there is a little diner-ish place up in somersworth that i am very much looking forward to patronizing this morning. it's been a long day already; i woke up late (at 4:15, mind you) and came to work, and am now blabbing on the radio about freezing rain and dreaming of omelettes.

the weather around here has been downright dismal lately. usually i'm very much into snow and rain and whatnot, but it's been more icy than anything. it's made travel difficult, and that makes me annoyed, as i've been travelling a lot and will continue to do so into the new year.

christmas was wonderous. every year my family never ceases to amaze me with their generosity. i got (and hopefully gave) some amazing presents. everyone seemed to be pleased, and i was glad i got to spend another year's celebration at home. who knows when those might end ... i went to work after an early christmas dinner, and spent the evening playing the last christmas music anyone will hear out of this transmitter for the next ten months. some kind listeners called in wishing me happy holidays, and i can only hope theirs were just as happy as mine were/have been/will hopefully continue to be (the holidays not being quite over yet; i consider new year's day to be the end of said holidays).

my friends were also rather generous and loving, as they always have been. i wish i could have had everyone in the same room with me through christmas - even my jewish friends; we would have made it a half-chanukah ceremony. i'm embarking on another epic Choley Tour of New England (tm) here in a couple days and i'll get my fill of wonderful friends then ... then again, what am i saying - there's never a fill, because i never see anyone as long as i'd like to!
